Brussels, 27 September 2017. At the annual European Fintech Awards, Amsterdam Openclaims has been chosen as the European Insurtech company of the year. Open claims were chosen from a long list of 42 European insurtech companies.

Openclaims won the competition with its innovative auction model, which assists insurers, proxies and intermediaries in offering simple, intuitive and distinctive damage processes, and simultaneously saves on damage purchasing.

Awards

Prior to the final, the most promising insurtech companies were selected by a jury and votes from the public. The top three could present themselves during the final to a jury consisting of experts from the industry, entrepreneurs and venture capital parties. This jury chose Openclaims as the best European insurtech company of 2017.

Lex Orie, CEO of Openclaims, received the award from the Belgian Minister of Finance, Johan van Overveldt. Orie: “Winning the Dutch Fintech Award made us happy extraam. This European award once again confirms that we and our customers are on the right track. This gives our customers and our team a tremendous boost to continue on this path. ”
Open claims currently prepares for an international roll-out of its activities.
